Read Yourself Interesting

This amazing ad campaign is from Pulpbooks:

Pulp Books-bar

Pulp Books-lunch

Pulp Books-boardroom

How witty! The first one really gets to me; I love how the woman finds the well-read man more interesting than the dapper one in the picture.  Honestly, I can talk to well-read  folks for hours! And I don’t mean people who get through hundreds of books, but people who let hundreds of books get through them. There’s a big difference. ;)

  1. Aaaah I love this one! Amazing! How empty and silent the second one seems.

    1. Indeed! I don't want to be stuck in such a situation. The beauty of the image is that it's so silent, yet it speaks volumes. I love ads like these. They're simple but they give off loud bangs. ;)

  2. Oh and by the way, I wanted to recommend a book on feminist writing. It's actually poetry written in 1915 by Alice Duer Miller. It has some really entertaining poems and writings. I think I found it via Neil Gaiman's twitter so you might already have seen it, but in case not. (And it's free on the Kindle.)

    1. Wow, thank you! I'll check it out. I've never read a feminist collection of poetry before. This sounds awesome since it comes from the 1915. On my to-read list now!

(I didn't see it from Gaiman's tweets. I'm rarely on twitter nowadays--and am I following you there? Tweet me! Name's @airizz.)

BTW, I'm happy to know you're enjoying being in the US (I stumbled upon your blog; my server automatically translated it to English, and though it's not so accurate, I understood the posts). The Hunger Games Cookbook sounds awesome, OMG! :)

    2. Iknow! It's really funny and a bit sarcastic.

I do like the US. I visited the library yesterday and it was wonderful. I borrowed The Absolute Diary of a Part-time Indian! I can't wait to read it!

    3. The Absolute Diary of a Part-time Indian is a light but funny (and heart-pinching) read! Tell me what you think about it when you finish it. :)
